Nicholas Paul Beaumont (Nick) sadly passed away on January 12, 2020 at The Christie Hospital after a short illness, aged 56 years old.
He will be missed greatly by his sons William and Maxton and his brother and sister Chris and Suzanne and their families.
Nick grew up in Dobcross and attended Dobcross Primary School and Colne Valley High School before embarking on a career in computer engineering with Granada and later Hewlett Packard, achieving the position of European Accounts Director.
In recent years he took a position with Capita, based at their Oldham office.
Nick was always a passionate fishing and motorbike enthusiast, teaming up with friends regularly to arrange the next big trip and was a regular attender at the Isle of Man TT races, where he made many new friends.
Nick was ever the faithful supporter of Oldham Athletic, a life-long passion that he passed on to his sons. Not content with just watching from the terraces he helped to train Saddleworth youngsters with the 3D Dynamos.
Fitness was always important to Nick. In his youth he was a keen windsurfer and in his 50s joined Evade Martial Arts kick boxing club in Mossley where he inspired the younger members with his enthusiasm, commitment and focus.
Always living life to the full, Nick was fun loving and much loved. His passing will leave a huge hole in the lives of his family and his many dear friends.
Nick’s funeral will take place on Friday, February 7, 2020 at St Chad’s Church at 1pm prior to burial at Valley View Cemetery.
