Generous car company donates a van to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice

A CARING top family business is lending a helping hand to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice by donating a much-needed van which will allow them to save thousands of pounds a year.

OMC Ford has given the van to the Hospice as a gesture of their ongoing support over the last 26 years and it is a replacement of the transit they donated five years ago.

p25 ford dr kershaws vanThe van, now decked out with the Hospice’s logo, will be used for fundraising events and to collect and move charity shop stock around the borough.

The generous donation will save the Hospice over £13,000 this year and the figure will rise to around £20,000 including the five-year service agreement.

Robin Eglin, Chairman of OMC Motor Group, said: “We are proud to work with and support Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

“They are an incredible organisation and provide amazing support to families across Oldham.”

Angela Higham, Fundraising Team Leader at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, added: “I was thrilled and delighted when OMC told us they will be providing the Hospice with a van again.

“Donations like this from businesses are very rare. We will continue to work with OMC Ford in the future.”
