Get creative as Saddleworth Handmade festival returns to Uppermill this Autumn

GET CREATIVE as the Saddleworth Handmade Festival returns for its Autumn event on Saturday and Sunday 12-13 September.

Autumn 2015An array of locally made products from more than 55 quality, local artisans will be on sale at the two-day event at the Civic Hall in Uppermill from 11am to 4pm, hosted by the Saddleworth Creative Network.

Visitors can also get hands on at the event, which is free to enter, as some stalls will offer demonstrations or the chance to have a go yourself.

There will be refreshments at the tea-shop area provided by ‘Something Yummy Cakes & Catering’, free balloons will be provided for children, face-painting, a tombola and a lucky dip.

The aim of the Network is to promote the creative skill of its traders and so their events offer handmade and unique products from the best local makers.

And they already have plans in place to bring their first ‘Saddleworth Food & Drink Festival’ to the Civic Hall on Saturday and Sunday 10-11 October from 11am to 4pm.

Food & Drink 2015Visitors will be able see, taste and buy a whole range of wonderfully delicious handmade food and drink, along with kitchen and dining accessories and decorations from local producers.
