ANDY DUNSTER’S captain’s drive-in competition at Saddleworth Golf Club was won by Mick Harrington and Jon Fancy.
They amassed 47 points in the four-ball Stableford to finish three clear of Martin Heap and Mike Shore.
Third place went to Stuart Potts and Steve Goodwin (41pts) on the card from Darren Smith and Nigel Hughes.

Lady captain Julie Ward also held her drive in, a three-person team Stableford.
Winners were Jane Wild, Denise Brown and Linda Kenworthy with 53 points, four clear of runners-up Sonia Dunn, Barbara Shuttleworth and Truda Dexter.
The men’s qualifier for the Chronicle Cup produced an exciting victory for Stuart Potts (75-9-66) on the card from Garry Torr (76-10-66). Third place went to Eddie Hall (79-11-68).
Meanwhile, the men also held their Huddersfield and Halifax Union qualifier which was won by father-and-son David and Ben Pullen in the four-ball Stableford.
They scored 44 points which was the same score as the second and third-placed pairings.
Runners-up were David Chapman and Mike Shore while third place went to Nick Marner and Lee Melia.
Ladies’ competitions have been coming thick and fast.

A yellow ball team event was won by Fiona Heston, Sue Booth and Linda Newman with 29 points, one clear of runners-up Julie Ward, Sheila Cooper and Jenny Knight.
Sheila Cooper, Anita Scholes and Truda Dexter were winners of a hidden nine-hole competition with a score of 43 Stableford points, four clear of runners-up Pam Taylor, Sue Brierley and Eileen Simpson.
Winner of a singles Stableford was Pam Taylor (33pts) from Jenny Knight (31) while in a two-ball Stableford Sue Booth (38pts) emerged the victor ahead of second-placed Denise Brown (31).
And finally a singles Stableford hidden nine holes was won by Eileen Simpson (18pts) from Pam Taylor (16).
