A POPULAR Greenfield hair salon has unveiled its own fresh new look as it celebrates ten years in business.
Donna Hardisty opened ‘Hair Experience’ on Chew Valley Road with her mum Sharon a decade ago to offer cuts to both men and women of all ages.
Now, their business has blossomed into a bustling salon with five stylists as well as two juniors.
And to mark the landmark anniversary, Donna, who lives in Diggle, has revamped the shop front with eye-catching new signage and has plans to refresh the inside soon too.
She commented: “We’re really pleased to have been open so long, and decided to redecorate just to refresh the shop a bit.
“The time has flown by! A lot of our clients have commented they didn’t realise that’s how long we’ve been here and they have been coming in.
“We want to welcome old and new clients to come in and see what we can do.
“A lot of men particularly are surprised that we don’t just cut women’s hair. And once they have tried us they keep coming back – and we’ve got some great offers on at the moment.”
Ambitious Donna, who is mum to two-year-old Charlie, revealed she hopes to keep building up the business, which now includes nail care from Steph on Thursdays.
“We’re trying to expand what we offer,” said Donna, who started her career as a Saturday girl at Triangle in Lydgate.
“When Charlie starts school I’ll have much more time to really get things going and I have a lot of things in mind already.”
Hair Experience is open from Monday to Friday 9am-6pm, with late night opening on Thursdays, as well as Saturdays 9am-4pm.
