FAMILIES considering a Reception place in Saddleworth for September 2027 are being invited to take a closer look at Greenfield Primary School.

The Shaw Street school is holding a series of open days in October, giving parents and carers the opportunity to explore the school, meet staff and see its facilities in action.

Daytime tours will take place on Tuesday, October 6 and Friday, October 9, with families able to choose from sessions at 9.15am, 10.45am or 1.45pm.

An evening tour will also be held on Wednesday, October 7 from 5.30pm until 6.15pm.

Each tour will be hosted by headteacher Ben Storey and will last approximately 45 minutes.

Greenfield Primary School and Nursery was rated Good in all areas following its Ofsted inspection in November 2024.

Inspectors highlighted the atmosphere at the school, stating: “Warm and positive relationships permeate throughout Greenfield Primary School.”

The open events are aimed particularly at families considering where to send their children when they begin Reception in September 2027.
