A GREENFIELD pub famous for promoting live music is going back in the turntables of time for its latest aural treat.
Not credit cards but records, vinyl ones for the playing of and listening to for a new vinyl revival night, which is the brainchild of former Twisted Wheel front man, Jonny Brown.
The decks will start spinning at 7.30pm and Jonny hopes it will become a regular feature of the music scene at the Shaw Hall Bank Road venue.
“We will have some decks set-up and anyone can come down and bring their 33s and 45s with them,” said Greenfield-based Jonny.
“We want people to come and play some of their favourite tunes and classics that others might not be familiar with.
“And any freestyle MC’s out there who fancy mixing some hip hop beats are also welcome.
“If there is enough interest, and I am sure there will be, we will look to make it a regular event.”
The Railway is now run by the Robinson family, who are also landlords of the Clarence Hotel at the opposite end of the village.
