THE ‘Saddleworth Handmade Festival’ is back again on Sunday July 26 – but this time there is a twist…
The event at the Uppermill Civic Hall, which is organised by the Saddleworth Creative Network and is free to enter, will be a ‘Princess and Pirate Party’ themed handmade market dedicated to children.
All stalls will offer only handmade goodies, skilfully and lovingly created by local artisans, and there will also be products and activities for children to enjoy.
And lucky guests with a ticket for the private party room can enter the magical party area and meet Captain Jack Sparrow and partake in his piratey games.
There will also be the chance to meet two of the most famous princesses ‘The Snowflake Sisters’, who will be getting the children involved in a sing-a-long of their favourite princess songs.
Tickets cost £20 for one child and one accompanying adult and covers entry to the event and party area, all party activities, a child’s picnic lunch, a party bag and 3 Princess/Pirate pounds to spend on the stalls.
Extra princess/pirate pounds are available to buy for children to enjoy the novelty of spending. Dressing up is of course encouraged.
The event will run from 12noon to 4pm and is free to enter, with free balloons for the children. There will also be face-painting, a tombola and lucky dip available.
And a delicious handmade tea-shop area and the children’s picnic lunch will be provided by Ravenstone Catering.
