SADDLEWORTH RESIDENTS will be able to jump on board the First Stop Health Bus for health and wellbeing advice as it tours Oldham.

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust will be offering advice and guidance, as well as free mini health MOTs, to anyone who visits the bus during its rounds.6th_Feb__-_Lees_Village_Co-op,_Owl_Mill_Street[1][1]_001

It will be parked up at various locations across the borough on a weekly basis throughout January and February.

Residents can call in to get the mini health MOT, which may include a blood pressure check, height, weight and Body Mass Index measurement, diabetes screening and diet advice.

In addition, the Stop Smoking Team will be on hand to provide support and give tips on how to kick the habit, something many people may be considering at the start of the New Year.

Lianne Davies, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Pennine Care, said: “A lot of people make New Year’s resolutions to stop smoking, lose weight or generally improve their health.

“Our staff are experts in helping people to make healthy changes that will improve their wellbeing  so we look forward to getting out and seeing people who are looking for support.”
