A BOOST of £5,750 was presented to Inspire Women after a fantastic fundraising year by the Woman of Oldham committee.
The cheque was presented to the charity, which inspires women through involvement in the community, at the committee’s final fundraiser of the year.
The very successful Christmas Cracker event saw guests gather at Grotton Pavilion to enjoy a flower demonstration by Kathleen Williams, from Oldham Flower Club.
Kathleen gave a very informative and amusing talk while making some lovely
festive arrangements which were then included in the raffle. Mince pies and wine were served.
Other fundraising events throughout the year included a tapas evening, silent auction, strawberry tea and the annual lunch at The White Hart in Lydgate.
