COMEDIAN: Michael Fabbri

A fundraising show for Saddleworth Rangers ARLFC on Friday, February 13 is sold out but there are two more shows to look forward to at the Royal George.

Sunday 22nd February introduces Michael Fabbri, whose dark and honest approach manages to effortlessly slip between controversial topics and light-hearted silliness to make a refreshingly eclectic and brilliantly funny act.

Opening the show will be Saddleworth newcomer Rich Wilson, who has loved comedy ever since his next-door neighbour gave him a cassette of Eddie Murphy.

Tex Ilyas will also make his Saddleworth debut in the middle while TV regular Alun Cochrane comperes.

Then on Saturday, February 28, the month will be rounded off in style with a side-splitting show in aid of Greenfield Primary School.

The cornerstone of opening act John Lynn’s comedy is his thoughts on the pros and cons of singledom versus long-term relationships, with fine observations which will strike close to home for many.

Headlining is West Yorkshire’s Nick Doody whose sharp and topical brand of political comedy and satire has won him fans all over the country.

Then guest act for the show will be Tom Taylor, while compere for the evening is Rob Riley.

Later in the year, Gary Delaney who has appeared on Mock the Week and BBC Radio 5, will visit the club on Sunday, April 26 as part of his extended UK tour.

All shows are held at The Royal George, Manchester Road. Doors 7.30pm for show 8pm prompt. All acts subject to change.

Tickets for shows can be purchased from the venue or online at www.saddleworthcomedy.co.uk and for more information call: 07874 152338.
