KEEP COOL this summer by tucking into luxury ice cream handmade the old fashioned way by Grandpa Greene’s.

Back in the 1920s Grandpa Greene made his ice cream using a wooden churn in the back yard of his corner shop in Salford.
Today his basic recipe has been developed into a luxury delight with only the finest ingredients – all handmade in Diggle.
Milk and cream is locally sourced from Pedigree Friesian cows that graze on the beautiful rolling hills of the area.
Flavours include ‘Simply Saddleworth’, hazelnut, banoffee, vanilla, mint chocolate chip, raspberry pavlova, strawberry, mango and ginger, chocolate, rum and raisin, toffee, and rhubarb crumble.
As well as luxury ice creams, Grandpa Greene’s serves freshly ground coffee, bacon rolls, freshly made crepes, Panini rolls, milkshakes, and other snacks and treats.
Visit their canal-side ice cream cabin, located just off Ward Lane in Diggle alongside the Huddersfield narrow canal, just two minutes away from an adventure play park.
Find out more about Grandpa Greene’s on their website: www.grandpagreenes.co.uk, email icecream@grandpagreenes.co.uk or ring 0770 009 2581. The cabin is open weekends and 11am-5pm every day of the summer holidays from Monday, July 15.
