A KIND-HEARTED Tesco worker raised more than £1,200 for charities after taking part in a sponsored head shave with a difference…

Andy Anchor, 23, who lives in Waterhead, let customers and staff – and his mum – shave off his locks, which he had dyed red and blue, in aid of Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.

Andy said: “It was a brilliant day. It was a team effort and I would like to thank our customers for digging deep in their pockets to help me raise this amount.

“Marie Torra our store manager was delighted with the effort. Next year I’ll have to come up with something different!”
