If you are thinking of taking up a hobby in the new year, why not join Saddleworth Singers?
The popular ladies’ choir is looking for altos and second sopranos to join their ranks.
They meet every Tuesday evening at Springhead Community Centre, Ashes Lane, from 7.30pm-9.30pm to practise a wide repertoire of songs from old favourites and musicals to pop hits.
The choir performs in concerts locally twice a year – most recently putting on a Christmas Concert with Oldham Band (Lees) in December – but many members just sing for pleasure.
Guests can come along to six rehearsals before signing up and paying the annual membership fee. Ring Sylvie on 07776 454440 for more information if you are interested in joining.
