ARTIST Simon Buckley is coming to Saddleworth to teach budding photographers how to capture our unique landscape in low light.
As founder of Salford’s NotQuiteLight, Simon specialises in dawn and dusk photography and chronicling the urban landscape.
For the first time he’s taking his skills in cityscapes to a rural environment with his course ‘Photographing in Low Light’ at the Weavers Factory.
Dawn and dusk are perfect times of the day to create magical photographs, however low light does present plenty of technical challenges.
Simon will be holding three photographic lessons where you’ll learn all the techniques needed to take successful photographs in low light.
In the first session you will be learn the methods needed to capture low light images, before a practical session outdoors at dusk.
The final session will review the pictures taken and also demonstrate simple post production techniques to make your photographs stand out.
Simon’s course runs over three sessions from Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23th May.
