Local blues musician plays again for charity

LOCAL blues legend JSL has put together a new band of diverse and talented musicians as he returns with another charity gig this month. The Kettle Valley Blues Association will perform on Friday, October 18 at The Gate Inn, Diggle, by kind permission of licensees Eve and Steve Peach.

JSL has twisted some arms and called in some favours to complete the line-up and put on the event in support of NMO Spectrum-UK.

The charity was founded in 2014 to support the battle against the rare neurological illness Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder and is a cause close to JSL’s heart.

The Gate is well-known locally as a pub that supports live music and is a favourite venue for the Diggle Blues Festival.

The gig starts at 6pm and the band will play two sets of Blues classics as well as some of JSL’s own compositions.

There will be a raffle with excellent prizes and an opportunity to buy CDs if you’re not lucky enough to win one!
