THE body of a man has been found at a popular Saddleworth beauty spot.
No details of identity have yet been released by Greater Manchester Police.
Day trippers and tourists visiting Dovestone Reservoir on Sunday morning saw police and Oldham Mountain Rescue Team deployed at the picturesque Greenfield location.
It is believed a runner alerted emergency services after discovering the body on the moors. A Coastguard helicopter was deployed to help move the man.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police were called at around 10.50am on Sunday 18 February 2018 to reports that the body of a man had been found at Dovestone Reservoir.
“Enquiries into the man’s death are ongoing but it’s not thought at this time that there are any suspicious circumstances.”
