A ‘HIDDEN’ gem of Greenfield is throwing open its doors for a unique weekend showcase of its businesses on December 20 and 21.
Waterside Mill is home to a vast array of companies who will set up stalls – including some last-minute Christmas offers – at the two-day mini market from 10am to 4pm.
Chris Chadwick, event organiser and owner of Ravenstone Catering who are based at the mill, hopes the event will help people discover what is on offer on their doorstep.
He said: “The mill seems to be one of the hidden gems of Greenfield as there are so many businesses but we’re hidden away a bit and many people don’t know we’re here.
“The idea is to bring in local customers and let them see who we all are and what we all do so that the next time they need something they will know where to come.”
Ravenstone will be showcasing some of their mouth-watering dishes, all made with quality, local produce, as well as taking orders for pies, cooked meat, salads, coleslaw, sausage rolls and cakes.
Other businesses showcasing their wares and services will include Fortress Windows, Greenfield Brewery, Taylors Removals, Alpha Cushions and Outdoor Pursuit Centre.
There will also be photographers including Warren Knightley and members of Men in Sheds on hand to talk about the scheme to combat isolation among men over 55.
And visitors will be able to tuck into an open bar and hot food at the event, which will be held on the car park in front of the Ravenstone kitchen with plenty of free parking available.
The two-day showcase event and mini market will be held at Waterside Mill on Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21 from 10am to 4pm.
