ANDY SANDS believes there is still a lot more to come from newly-promoted Waterhead ARLC.
It has been a satisfactory start for Waterhead who have won three of their first seven games in National Conference, Division One to lie eighth out of the 13 teams.
Andy admitted it has been a massive leap in the standard of play but his side has acquitted itself well.
He said: “I am frustrated because we should be doing even better if I were able to put out a settled side.
“I have had players out through injury, work and being away. It has been a nightmare and has been killing us.
“I am hoping things will settle down as there is a lot to look forward to.
“Yes, it has been a big step up, but we have proved we are not far away. We lost away to Oulton Raiders, one of the top teams, and should have beaten them.
Andy’s troubles are easing as Dave Orwell, Carl Sneyd and Matt Foggarty have returned from injury.
It’s just as well those key players are back as May promises to be a difficult month for Waterhead with league games against top teams Milford Marlins and Wigan St Bedes to look forward to along with a cup clash against Egremont Rangers who are in second place in the Premier Division.
“It will be a tough month, especially the cup game, but we are ready for the challenge,” explained Andy.
