SUE KNEBEL recorded a landslide margin of victory in Mr President’s Prize, the last ladies’ major of the season at Saddleworth Golf Club.
Sue recorded nett rounds of 65 and 75 for a two-round total of 140 in the 36-hole competition.
She finished a whopping seven shots clear of runner-up Sheila Cooper whose 147 comprised rounds of 73 and 74.
Kay Orme (75-7-70) claimed the first-day prize on the card from Hazel Rogerson.
Second-day honours went to Sandra Hague (95-22-73) on countback from Linda Newman and Denise Brown.
Due to bad weather, the first round had to be cancelled and, in fact, took place after the second round had been played.
