New officers step forward to serve Greenfield and Grasscroft residents

NEW OFFICERS have stepped forward to take on roles in the Greenfield and Grasscroft Residents Association. GGRA logo

Marlene Bailey, 66, who was born and bred in Greenfield, was elected as the secretary for the coming year.

She has worked in local government for around 40 years, latterly as Director at Housing at Preston before retiring and returning to the area.

She said: “I am very keen to make sure people have a voice and that they are involved and their views are represented effectively.”

Alan Belmore, 24, an accountant living in Greenfield, was voted into the role of treasurer for the community group.

He insisted he is eager to help out with his local area alongside his work for a Big Four Firm, saying: “I am keen to get more involved in the community.”

Dr Andrew Taylor was re-elected as chair of the association, which has around 400 members, and is serving them for a fourth year.
