THERE IS a pit stop not to be missed by Saddleworth cyclists in Lees…
Cycle Tech Oldham, run by Paul Smith, moved to the village last August after outgrowing their premises on Ripponden Road.
Stocked from floor to ceiling with bikes of all colours and sizes, and accessories for all ages, there is everything a rider could need.
And a bigger workshop and new bike fitting studio mean mechanic Paul, who launched as a mobile business, can offer more services than ever before to his customers.
“We’ve become a one-stop shop for all your cycling needs,” said the dad-of-two. “We sell bikes, saddles, locks, helmets, lights, clothing, gloves and more.
“The move here means we’ve got a lot of extra space which is great and it has really allowed us to grow as a business.
“We’ve got a bigger, new display of bikes for people to choose from, a bigger workshop to carry out repairs, and a new bike fitting studio with top technology.”
Customers can pick their ride out of the range of mountain bikes, which are the most popular, Raleigh bikes, road bikes, hybrids, e-bikes and more.
Then a session in the studio will see Paul help fit a bike to its rider to make it more comfortable and efficient, reducing pain and discomfort.
And when he’s kitted you up with all the necessary gear you’ll be ready to hit the road – but don’t forget to return for repairs or on-going maintenance.
Paul added: “We sold out of e-bikes last month as they are proving popular at the moment, along with the mountain bikes.
“People coming from all over to the shop, even some from the other side of Manchester as we have been recommended to them, which is great.”
Cycle Tech are signed up to the ‘Cycle to Work’s scheme and offer discounts on bikes, as well as two years’ interest free credit for all customers. Ask in store for more details.
