HAPPY CUSTOMERS have stamped a top seal of approval on an Oldham lettings agent by ranking them ‘Lancashire’s Best Letting Agent 2015’.
Northwood clinched the prestigious accolade based on reviews from tenants and landlords through allAgents, the UK’s largest website dedicated to the property industry.
The online directory compares properties, estate agents and letting agents based on customer satisfaction and honours the top companies with annual awards.
And Northwood in Oldham and East Manchester, run by Saddleworth-based brothers Mike and David Procter, are celebrating after clinching the top award in the county.
Mike said: “It is great news! Customer service is our number one priority and the awards are completely customer led so it is so pleasing to do so well.
“It came as a shock though as we didn’t know we’d won until one of the franchise managers congratulated us!”
Mike and David, along with maintenance manager Alex Turner and lettings negotiators Emily Landregan and Jo Wildman, look after more than 300 properties across Oldham right up to the outskirts of Manchester.
And Mike believes their ‘guaranteed rent’ service – where the landlord receives fixed payments regardless of whether the property is let – is what sets them apart.
“It is our key product and now 80 per cent of our customers are using it,” he said.
“We’re also a SAFEagent so offer Client Money Protection and work with the government to keep on top of new laws that might affect our tenants and landlords.”
And with business running so smoothly, Mike revealed they are looking to expand in the near future.
“We are bursting to the seams here and will be moving offices soon,” he said. “And we are also recruiting so we can do more sales as well.”
There was also success for Northwood nationally as they were named ‘Best Franchise’ and ‘Best Large Chain’.
The company, which has 90 offices nationwide, also came second in ‘Best Lettings Agent’ and ‘Best Overall Agent’ from around 20,000 across the country.
