OLDHAM RL Club have announced a three-year agreement with Steeden’s European licensee Advantage Sport.
The deal means Roughyeds will train and play in Steeden kit, starting in the 2018 League 1 campaign.
Established in Queensland nearly 60 years ago, the Steeden brand is well known in many parts of the world, especially in Australia where it is heavily involved with the NRL.
Chris Hamilton, Oldham chairman, said: “We are looking forward to working with Advantage Sport who have been very professional in their presentations and in all other dealings we have had with them so far.
“We are currently finalising arrangements for our use of Steeden playing kit and our sales of Steeden leisure wear and these will soon be available on-line direct from the club. That will be set up shortly as soon as everything is in place.”
Advantage Sport director Dan Drew, who is based in Harrogate, said it was ‘fantastic’ to have Oldham on board for 2018 and beyond.
He added: “Adding such a historic rugby league club as Oldham to our portfolio is a real coup for the brand and reflects on how hard we have worked to produce a high-quality product with creative designs and excellent customer service.
“Chris and the team at Oldham have been great to work with and we look forward to forging a long and successful partnership.”
