Gallery Oldham is hosting a series of artist-led workshops to coincide with their ever-popular Oldham Open exhibition.

On Saturday, October 24 Saddleworth artist John McCombs will tutor participants in the art of painting from the clothed model.

Then on Saturday, November 7 Steve Priest will be teaching relief printing with lino and on Saturday, November 28 local textile artist Claire Louise Mather will guide learners through the techniques needed to create their own masterpieces.

The workshops have been organised so they offer a broad range of activities, all delivered by some of the most popular local artists currently working and exhibiting.

This is the first time all three artists have come on board at the same time so it is a unique opportunity for people to meet and learn from experts.

The workshops are open to adults of all abilities and will run for a full day. The cost for each day is £30 and booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

For more information and to book your place please contact Gallery Oldham on 0161 770 4742 or see the website www.galleryoldham.org.uk for more details.

The Oldham Open runs from October 17 to December 5.
