RESIDENTS CAN seek out vacancies and training opportunities across a wide range of sectors at The Get Oldham Working Jobs and Skills Fair 2013.

Advisers from the National Careers Service will be running inteOldham Council logoractive workshop sessions to help you unlock your potential and enhance job search skills.

The annual event will take place at Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre on Thursday, September 12 from 10am-3pm and people can turn up on the day, with no need to pre-book.

It is part of Oldham Council’s campaign to create 2,015 new employment opportunities by 2015.

Workshops on the day include:

• Employability Workshops – 10.30am: Tips on making the right first impression. Targeting your approach to employment and creating an effective and professional CV to sell yourself to employers.

• Interview Techniques Workshops – noon: Help to prepare, present and answer employer questions.

• Application Form Workshops – 1.45pm: Help to prepare, fill in and what to do on completion.
