Pantomime success for All Stars

ST Chad’s All Stars 2019 pantomime brought festive fun and frolics to packed houses at Kilngreen in Diggle at the end of November.

This year’s production, directed by Kate Millett, was Ali Baba and the Four Tea Thieves, a lively adaptation by Bob Heather and Cheryl Barrett of the classic story which cleverly gets around the need for forty thieves on stage.

The All Stars next production in March will be Wizard of Oz and Kate said: “We are looking for some more good singers and people who may have always wanted to “tread the boards” to join our friendly theatre group for this production.

“Age is no barrier, although there are restrictions which make it difficult to include children in our productions but if you have always felt you would like to be part of a show, why not give us a try?

“We are “all stars” whatever our abilities, so previous experience is not necessary.

“We are also looking for backstage crew, scenery builders and painters, front of house and willing helpers for our productions.

“Maybe you are a sixth form student learning theatre skills and would like some hands-on experience?
