A SPECTACLE of music and entertainment will liven up Delph and Dobcross Cricket Club for an eleventh year as Party in the Park returns this September.
On Saturday, September 17 from 3pm party-goers will be able to enjoy a terrific line-up of live bands and artists, as well as entertainment and refreshments.
Phil Beckwith, lead organiser of the event for the Wake Up Delph Committee, said: “Tickets are selling very quickly already and we’re really looking forward to the event.
“We’re delight to welcome back BBC Radio Manchester’s Mike Sweeney and The Thunderbirds, who the audience loved last year.
“The original Stax of Soul are appearing for the first time, along with arguably one of the best tributes to Adele.
“There will also be a superb tribute to Little Mix, fantastic music from top Indie band the Kaiser Monkey Killers, and many local favourites including rock band Black Garter.
“As usual, there will be a fireworks finale at the end of the night with music from Delph Band and soprano Sally Mitchell.
“This year it will include a special celebration for the Queen’s 90th birthday so be sure to get your flags waving and sing along to ‘Jerusalem’.”
Tickets cost £22 single or £18 concession (£50 for a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children). Tickets are on sale now at Uppermill and Delph Post Offices, Delph and Dobcross Cricket Club and from the ticket hotline: 07716 335 822.
