SPRINGHEAD pike angler and author Dr Steve Rogowski has published three books on his passion: ‘Pike Fishing in the UK and Ireland’, Crowood Press; ‘Pike and Freshwater Predator Fishing in the British Isles’, Quiller Press; and ‘The Incompleat Piker’, Little Egret Press.
He also has a chapter in a new book – ‘Willow Pitch III – The Esox Edition’, Little Egret Press. The book is about pike fishing and written by pike anglers both famous and not so famous.
Incidentally, ‘Esox’ refers to the Latin name for pike – ‘esox lucius’.
All things related to one of the most popular forms of angling are dealt with: the attractions of pike fishing, tackle and techniques, the various types of pike waters, big (and small) pike catches and so on.
It would make an excellent Christmas present for all anglers.
