SADDLEWORTH PARISH Council’s Planning Committee recommended approval for a series of planning applications at their July meeting. They included:
Mr Flatcher, Chancery Lane, Dobcross: Replacement of double garage; Subject to construction in reclaimed local stone and a simple boarded wooden garage door.
Ms Morrison, Church Road, Uppermill: Improvements and repairs to property.
Mr Rodgers, Heywood Avenue, Austerlands: Erection of one detached dwelling and associated works.
Mr Ibbotson, Heather Way, Diggle: Single storey side and rear extension.
Mr Hill, Saddleworth Pizza, Frenches Works, Greenfield: Change of use from a DIY centre office to a hot food takeaway.
Mr Hardy, Oldham Road, Grotton: Single storey rear extension and alterations to garage including its part conversion to additional living accommodation.
Mrs Whiteside, Beechfield, Grasscroft: Erection of two new split-level dwellings within gardens with access from existing driveway, and erection of detached two car garage for existing plot.
Renewables First, Land at Dovestones Reservoir, Greenfield: Small scale hydroelectric scheme including the construction of a generator housing and installation of a diversion pipework and discharge sump to be incorporated into the existing stilling basin.
BT PLC, New Bank Close, Dobcross: Installation of telecommunications apparatus including small cabinet; Subject to careful consideration of width of footpath.
Howard Grady Associates, Oldham Road, Lydgate: Alterations to frontage; Subject to the change of design of the new three light mullion windows on ground floor.
Mr Stevenson, Shaw Hall Bank Road, Greenfield: Single storey rear extension and new external staircase.
Stewart Hospitality Brownhill Visitor Centre, Dobcross: Change of use from external landscaped area to raised seating terrace; Subject to new railings being a suitable heritage design in keeping with the eighteenth century canal.
Mr Mistry, Parkfield Road, Grasscroft: Single storey rear extension and front and rear dormers.
