SADDLEWORTH PARISH Council’s Planning Committee recommended approval for a series of planning applications at their April meeting. They included:
Mrs Merilainen, Diglea, Diggle: Demolition of timber/steel structured agricultural buildings; Subject to no change to existing barn other than those already agreed.
Mr Hilton, Greenbridge Lane, Greenfield: Pitched roof to existing garage and enclosure of garage with rendered finish and Single storey extension to link to kitchen and garage; Subject to the colour of the render being carefully chosen to blend into the surroundings.
Mr Rothwell, Standedge Road, Diggle: Repair works to south elevation of existing building including alterations to existing openings.
Mr Kemp, Thornley Park Road, Grotton: Removal of existing conservatory and erection of a single storey rear extension.
Mr D Milburn, Oldham Road, Grasscroft: Change of use of attic from residential use for educational purposes.
Miss Buckley, Ashes Lane, Springhead: Front dormer.
Mr T Allewell and Mrs C Waters, Oldham Road, Grasscroft: New front porch and erection of part single storey and part two storey rear extension.
Mrs Claxton, Queensway, Greenfield: Erection of a single storey rear (conservatory) extension.
Miss M Lawson, Thornley Park Road, Grotton: Demolition of existing garage and erection of a single storey side and rear extension.
Miss L Bottom, Chew Valley Road, Greenfield: Erection of a two storey rear extension and erection of 2 no. side dormers.
Mr Ford, Thorpe Close, Austerlands: Single storey extension to side and rear; pitched roof above existing garage and front porch.
Mr Duncan, Station Lane, Greenfield: Erection of two storey side extension (with ‘Juliet’ balcony to first floor window).
Mr Healy, Thornley Park Road, Grotton: Single storey rear extension and change a flat to pitched garage roof.
Mr J B Sykes, Manchester Road, Greenfield: First floor side extension.
