Planning approvals: February

SADDLEWORTH PARISH Council’s Planning Committee recommended approval for a series of planning applications at their January meeting. They included:

Mr T Pellowe, Moor Lane, Dobcross: Re-pointing existing building, reducing width of opening between proposed sun room and lounge, relocating spiral staircase in sun room, relocation of proposed door to bedroom at first floor level, relocation of proposed en-suite in master bedroom to second floor, replacement of chimneys, and insertion of damp proof course and timber treatments; Subject to the re-pointing being done to English Heritage recommendations, chimneys rebuilt with the existing external stone, and stone cleaning should not take place.

Mr D McConnell, Buckley Street, Uppermill: Replacement of existing single storey rear extension; Subject to the use of reclaimed stone to match the existing building; the committee also strongly recommends the use of wooden window frames.

Grandpa Greene, Ward Lane, Diggle: Removal of canopy, retention of customers seating areas and covered passageway, and provision of portable toilet building.

Mr P Brown, Link Road, Springhead: Erection of a two storey side extension.

Mr & Mrs C Pierce, Shaw Hall Bank Road, Greenfield, Conversion to two dwellings and erection of detached double garage including provision of dropped kerb and associated hardstanding.

Armstrong Developments Ltd, Plum Cottage, Dry Bridge, Huddersfield Road: Removal of lean-to open storage building and steel storage container and replacement with stone stable block.

Mrs G Murray, Chew Valley Road, Greenfield: Demolition of existing rear extension and replaced with two storey and part single storey rear extension.

Mr Frankovitch, Church Road, Greenfield: Front dormer extension.

Mr Haigh, The Park, Greenfield: Single storey rear extension.

Mr G Hare, Saint Anne’s Crescent, Grasscroft: Two storey side extension, replacement single storey rear extension and loft conversion.

Mr Eckersley, Mayfield Avenue, Springhead: Raising roof height to create additional floor space and side dormer.
