SADDLEWORTH PARISH Council’s Planning Committee recommended approval for a series of planning applications at their April meeting. They included:
Mr Whiffin, Delph Library, Millgate, Delph: Alterations to existing ground floor window openings to Stoneswood Road and replacement of ground floor windows to Milgate and King Street; Subject to infill being of natural coursed stone and set back three inches from the face.
Ms Adamiec, Church Fields, Dobcross: Detached double garage; Subject to use of matching materials.
Mr J Barlow, Star Inn, Huddersfield Road, Austerlands: Change of use to three dwellings.
Mr McMahon, Cooper Street, Springhead: Change of use from garage to single dwelling.
Mr Birch, land adjacent to Manchester Road, Greenfield: Erection of one dwelling; Subject to fencing on East and West following present contour and no loss of amenity to premises directly across.
Mr Leigh, Oaklands Park, Grasscroft: Single storey front extension forming garage, raising of roof level above existing side extension and erection of orangery to rear.
Mr A Rigby, Manchester Road, Greenfield: Change of use of existing dwelling to two dwellings and two story rear extension.
Mr and Mrs Smart, Waterside Cottages, Greenfield: Rear dormer.
Hardwire Developments, Oldham Road, Springhead: Alterations to front elevation; Subject to retention of original sash window on upper floor and ground floor should be built in matching reclaimed stone.

Mr Taylor, Friezland Lane, Greenfield: Minor material amendment to previously approved application to incorporate additional rear bay window.
Mr and Mrs Grundy, Dacres Drive, Greenfield: Front dormer.
Mr Buckley, Oldham Road, Grasscroft: Single side and rear extension.
Mr and Mrs Rigby, Burnedge Fold Road, Grasscroft: Front porch and part two storey and part single storey rear extension.
Mr McQuillan, Horsforth Lane, Greenfield: Single storey extensions to front and rear, and front and rear dormers to create additional accommodation at first floor level.
