Police appeal for information after two men were stabbed in Oldham

GMP logoPOLICE ARE appealing for information as they investigate after two men were stabbed in Oldham.

At around 3.30am on Monday 21 September 2015, a 24-year-old man and 27-year-old man were walking on Red Hall Street when they were approached by a man.

He grabbed a bag the 24 year-old man was carrying and when both victims tried to stop him, they were stabbed in the back and leg.

Both were taken to hospital and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 (Grievous bodily harm) and remains in custody for questioning.

Detective Sergeant Laura Crossley said: “Although an arrest has been made, we are still keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault.
