POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Oldham.
Shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday 8 October 2016 a group of five males, all wearing dark clothing with the hoods up, were stood on Hollins Road shouting abuse.
One of the residents of the houses came out to challenge them and during the subsequent argument, he was stabbed.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds and he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Officers are currently reviewing CCTV in the area and carrying out enquiries.
Detective Constable Leigh Carnally of GMP’s Oldham Borough said: “A man is seriously injured in hospital after he challenged a group who were shouting abuse outside his home.
“We have launched an investigation trace the attacker and I would appeal to anyone with information to come forward.”
