POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses after a violent robbery at a pub in Oldham.
Between 3.50am and 4.10am on Saturday 7 November 2015 three men burst into the Famous George pub on Hollins Road.
Two of the men were armed with knives and the other had what is believed to be a hammer.
The 30-year-old victim confronted the men in the hallway of the pub living quarters and was subjected to a violent assault, during which he was punched and cut with knives on his head.
He was then tied up and threatened by the men, who demanded the safe key. The offenders fled with cash and the keys to the victim’s car.
They left in the direction of Failsworth in the car, a blue Ford Focus reg YP06 RGV which is still outstanding.
Police are appealing for information and witnesses.
Detective Constable Ian Lloyd of Oldham division said: “The victim was shocked to find three men in his pub and was then subjected to a horrific and violent attack.
“I am appealing to anyone with information about the robbery, or who may have seen the car after the robbery to speak to police.
