POLICE HAVE released a CCTV image after a man robbed a snooker hall in Oldham.

Shortly after 10pm on Monday 28 December 2015 a man went into the Snooker Hall on King Street and threatened the man working there with what looked like a baton.

He stole cash from the till before fleeing from the Snooker Hall.

The offender is described as white, about 5ft 11in tall, of medium build, with very distinctive blue eyes and some front top teeth missing. He was wearing a hooded top that partly covered his face.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the robbery.

Detective Constable Steven Gilliland of Oldham division said: “Fortunately no-one was injured, but a man was left shaken after being threatened with what we believe was some kind of baton.

“We are keen to speak to anybody who may recognise the description of the man and believe that they may have seen him around the time the incident took place.

“I would urge people to look closely at the CCTV image and get in touch with police if you have any information.”

Anybody with information should contact police on 0161 856 9063, 101, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
