POLICE HAVE released photos of a woman who is in critical condition in hospital in Oldham.
Shortly after 8.15pm on Monday 12 December 2016, police were called by the ambulance service to a property on Waterloo Street, Oldham following concerns for a woman.
Upon arrival officers discovered Gemma Baker, 26, with serious head injuries. She was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
Police are treating Gemma’s injuries as suspicious and have launched an investigation.
Detective Inspector Kenny Blain, from Oldham CID, said: “A woman is in hospital with serious injuries and we are offering her family support at this worrying time.
“A team of officers is working to establish what happened to Gemma and we have released photos of her in the hope that it will jog’s someone’s memory.
“If you saw Gemma on Monday 12 December, or know her and had any contact with her recently, you may be able to help.
“Whatever information you may have, no matter how small or insignificant you think it is, please get in touch.
“You can speak to us in confidence, or if you don’t feel you can talk to police but you have information, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously.
“Your information might just prove vital to piecing together what happened to Gemma.”
