A TRIO of festivals will showcase local handmade goods as well as allow the public to get hands on and creative with exciting crafts over the coming months.
The first event organised by Saddleworth Creative Network is a ‘Making and Doing Handmade Festival’ on April 11 and 12 at Uppermill Civic Hall from 11am – 4pm.
Customers will have the chance to buy from the 55 stalls of wonderful handmade products from local makers, with goodies including soaps, jams, pies, jewellery, and pictures.
They can also watch demonstrations or get creative and have a go themselves at some of the crafts.
Entry is free and there will also be free balloon for children and face-painting as well as a tea-shop area provided by ‘Something Yummy Cakes & Catering’.
Then on Saturday, April 25, Saddleworth Handmade Festival is travelling over the moors to Marsden for the first time to be part of the ‘Marsden Cuckoo Day Festival’.
Trading will be between 10am-4pm and all stalls will be centrally located indoors or outdoors in the village during this popular local event.
And then traders will be show off their handmade wares at the annual Saddleworth Summer Show on Sunday, June 28, which is being held at Well-I-Hole Farm in Greenfield for the first time this year.
