MOORSIDE MOTOR bike racer Ashley Beech rounded off an eventful and often challenging 2015 National Superstock 1000 Championship with a creditable eighth-place finish at Brands Hatch.

That helped him to an overall 13th place in the championship which is held over 12 rounds throughout the season which saw him have four solid point scoring finishes.
It was a great achievement bearing in mind Ashley had been plagued by technical problems with his Kawasaki ZR-10R bike and injuries throughout the season, and it was no different at Brands Hatch where he had tyre trouble which brought to a premature end his qualifying sessions.
Ashley, despite having to have two tyre changes, still managed the 11th quickest time for a start on row four of the grid.
And Ashley made steady progress throughout the race to finish eighth at the end of the 14 laps.
Ashley, who missed one round through injuries sustained in a crash, also had to overcome a broken clutch, brake problems, broken gear lever and power loss issues, challenges the rider and his JDR Racing team have had to overcome.
“This has been a challenging year with technical problems, crashes and injuries, but a good points scoring finish is a great way to end the season” said Ashley.
