Reiki master brings relaxation and well-being to workplaces

IF A break from the daily grind is just what you need to rebalance your mind and body, Wendy Rodes has the answer.

Wendy, a qualified Reiki Master, has launched ‘Healing Hands of Saddleworth’ and is focusing on workplace relaxation by providing well-being sessions and corporate days.

After leaving her sales job of 26 years in March, she took the plunge to set up her own business and she is now already in demand across the North West.

Working seven days a week, she offers a flexible service and can hold sessions at businesses near and far, and she also caters for individual clients.

Treatments include Reiki, a ‘hands on’ natural healing therapy that helps to reduce stress and anxiety by releasing blocked energy.

Wendy also offers Swedish and aromatherapy massage, Indian Head massage, seated acupressure, and crystal healing therapy, all to relax the mind and body.

She said: “About six years ago I was very stressed and my friend suggested I try Reiki. I can honestly say it’s one of the best things that has come into my life.

“I never thought I’d end up doing this but I love it. When you can see how you are helping people, it is so rewarding.

“It’s hard working for yourself, seven days a week but I am determined to be flexible for when people need me. I want to be more accessible than a clinic with set day-time hours.”

She added: “I really enjoy going into companies and doing well-being days for employees.
“When you’re working, you don’t always have time to fit in a treatment, so it’s good to be able to take it to them on a regular basis.”

Wendy has also been providing therapies at charity events for the last five years to raise money for various charities, as well as volunteering at the Reiki Clinic at Uppermill Civic Hall on first Saturday of each month.

She can cater for individual appointments, pamper days, or corporate days. For more details or to arrange an appointment call Wendy on 07876 236748 or email: wendyrodes100@yahoo.co.uk
