Residents invited to have their say on community bus services

Consultation A5RESIDENTS ARE being invited to have their say on community bus services in the area.

South Pennine Community Transport launched a 352 bus link between Uppermill and Holmfirth in May this year, which is open to everyone to use.

The company also runs services from Holmfirth to Ashton-Under-Lyne via Greenfield and Mossley on Thursdays and to Glossop on Fridays.

Now they are seeking the community’s views, opinions and suggestions for future transport services as they look to improve and expand.

Director Kevin Carr said: “We are happy to provide important local links and fantastic leisure opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

“Our services are very easy to use and our friendly drivers will always help you if you need it.

“We would like to have your opinion on the services and what you would like from community transport.”

The company wants to hear what people think about rural bus services, ring and ride buses, shoppers services, local bus routes and transport for groups.

There is a meeting at Holmfirth library on Wednesday, December 9 between 10.30am and 12.30pm when bus users can give feedback.

Alternatively, complete a short Consultation survey or send your views and suggestions by email to southpenninect@virginmedia.com or write to 69 Penistone Road, Fenay Bridge, Huddersfield, HD8 OJS or call 0759 385 2259. The consultation runs until Friday, December 11.
