ENJOY A rootin’ tootin’ night of music as wild comedy hillbilly country rock band Hayseed Dixie comes to Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
The band was formed in the summer of 2000 on the front porch of a cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee.
After drinking enough whiskey to float a battleship across the Sahara Desert, it became obvious to the boys that the “Lost Highway” of Hank Williams and the “Highway To Hell” of AC/DC were in fact the same road.
Over the last 15 years they have offered feel-good, barn-storming, tangy banjo nights as they follow their belief that ‘If loving the banjo is wrong, then we don’t want to be right!’
They will be performing rootin’ tootin’ deliverances of such rock classics as ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’, ‘Black Dog’, ‘Ace Of Spades’ and ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’ alongside classics ‘Foggy Mountain Breakdown’ and ‘Duellin’ Banjos.’
Hayseed Dixie will perform at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Doors 7pm for 7.30pm concert.
Tickets cost £20 in advance and are available from Uppermill and Greenfield Post Offices or by calling the 24 hr box office: 0844 478 0898.
