THE new chairman of Saddleworth Round Table has promised an exciting year of fun-filled fundraising activities to support the community.
Richard Foster, 43, a chartered accountant from Grasscroft, took over the high-profile role from Henry Burbidge at the club’s AGM at their headquarters, The White Hart at Lydgate.
Richard said: “It’s an exciting time to be part of Saddleworth Round Table. Henry has had an excellent year.
“Saddleworth Round Table is now in 61st year, and we have a proud history and we look to host events for the benefit of the local community, with all profits redistributed back to local groups and worthy good causes.
“So please come along have some fun and support us,” he urged.
