The co-founder of an IT Consultancy based in Saddleworth held an inspirational talk for young people at his business offices in January.
Peter Dorotiak, IT consultant and founder of Aspect IT, partnered with Mahdlo Youth Centre to deliver an informative presentation on running a business in the technology industry.
Mahdlo Youth Centre is a registered charity that offers activities and opportunities for young adults between the ages of 8 to 19 years.
The event welcomed seven young adults to Aspect IT’s business premises in Springhead, where they received a tour of the building and an inspiring talk by Peter.
Established in 2003 by co-directors Peter and Ian Howarth, Aspect IT offers an array of services including IT support, software development and website design to SMEs across Greater Manchester.
Aspect IT is keen to work with Mahdlo in the future and will hold other training days and work experience projects to ensure young people are engaged with businesses in the local area.
Peter commented: “It was a great opportunity for us to work with Mahdlo to help youths explore the business industry and influence decisions on their future career.”
Thomas Dawson, Mahdlo Youth Zone member, said: “It was very informative and engaging.
“Everything was so easy to understand, and it has definitely influenced my interest in the field of information technology.”
