Saddleworth butcher celebrates 30 years in business by opening bakery

A POPULAR Greenfield butcher is celebrating 30 years in business – by expanding to open a mouth-watering bakery.

Tim Scott’s of Saddleworth Limited thrives on selling quality and locally sourced meats, home-made sausages, burgers, and home-roasted meats at their shop at Road End.

And their weekly meat deals – such as a £30 deal including sirloin or fillet, 400 grams chicken fillets, mince steak, sausages, bacon and four pork steaks – always go down a treat.

Other deals are also available costing between £10 to £12.50 on request at the counter.

And now Tim has expanded his business to include a full bakery section, which produces a superb selection of pies, freshly baked breads, and cakes.

There is even a special lunch-time menu consisting of hot roast muffins with fresh ground coffee to go.

Tim said: “After the closure of Greenwoods it is important to keep the bakery facility in Greenfield as so often when facilities close the community suffers.

“We didn’t want that to happen. It is important for local people to use local shops where quality and service is far superior and prices competitive.

“Road End has dramatically changed over the last few months with Scotts, Simply School Uniforms and Natural Therapy.

“We have Howard Greenwood in front of house, Tim Scott, Chris Gentile, Kath Halkyard, and Eileen Nicholson who all complement the staff and will be pleased to serve you.”
