Saddleworth golfers crowned Lancashire Shield runners-up

SADDLEWORTH GOLF Club’s silver team came within a whisker of winning the Lancashire Ladies Handicap Shield.

They played Hurlston Hall at Haydock Park in the final and lost 4-3. It was so close, though, as two of the losses came at the 19th hole as those games went to sudden death.
