Austerlands referee Robert Hicks has been given the whistle for Saturday’s Super League Grand Final between Warrington Wolves and Wigan Warriors at Old Trafford.
His selection follows up him taking charge of The Challenge Cup Final at Wembley earlier this year between Warrington Wolves and Catalans Dragons.
Hicks, son of former Three Crowns pub landlord Ray Hicks and Saddleworth Rangers’ club treasurer Karen Thompson will be the man in the middle this coming weekend as the rugby league season reaches its climax.
This is not the first time Rob has taken charge of the whistle in a mighty clash between these rivals.
Back in 2016, Wigan were crowned Super League champions over Warrington officiated by Robert himself.
Will we see a repeat performance?
