Saddleworth to turn green for host of Macmillian World’s Biggest Coffee Mornings

SADDLEWORTH IS turning green for a host of Macmillan Coffee Mornings to raise funds for the charity this month.

On Tuesday, September 22 there will be a coffee morning at Warburton Court, Uppermill from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Entry £1, all welcome.

Then on Tuesday afternoon, Moonstone psychic venue and gift shop in Greenfield are opening their doors to all to visit for coffee and cake from 12noon.macmillan_3

On Friday, September 25 Apollonia House Dental and Health Care on Mossley Road is welcoming patients old and new, along with anyone just passing, to enjoy a coffee from 9am-1pm.

Meanwhile at the Old Bell Inn at Delph, visitors can enjoy a raffle and stand-up bingo alongside their tea, coffee and cakes. The event will run from 10am-12noon on Friday, entry costs £5 donation to Macmillian and please ring to book in advance: 01457 870130.

Saddleworth Spiritualist Church, on Uppermill High Street, are also welcoming in people through their doors from 10.30am-12noon on Friday to enjoy cakes and coffee.

Also on Friday, Diggle Band Club will be decked in the charity’s bright colours as Margaret Hardy and daughters Karen, Paula and Linda hold their annual popular event from 10am-1pm.

Coffee, cakes, a home-made stall, a raffle and a tombola will be on offer, as well as a beautiful cake for a guess the weight competition.

Join Authentic gift shop in Uppermill on Saturday, 26 September for cake, coffee and tea between 10am and 12noon as they look to raise more funds.

Then Riverside House in Uppermill rounds up the events a week later on Friday, October 2 when all are welcome to join residents and their families and friends from 10am-12noon. There will be cake and coffee as well as stalls selling books, bric-a-brac, homebake and a raffle.
