AN AWARD-WINNING salon is celebrating once more after being awarded ‘Crown’ status from a top French skincare company for the 13th year in a row.
The Face and Body Shop in Grotton received the prestigious status along with a glittering trophy from Guinot in recognition of their top level service, treatments and skincare.
And with the salon one of just 90 out of 1,600 in the UK and Ireland to receive the award, owner Val Simpson said they are just as proud now as they were the first time in 2000.
“It’s quite an accolade for a small village like Saddleworth,” she said. “It’s something we have to maintain but it is hard to do that year on year so we’re very proud.
“Your standards have to constantly be at the top with the products, treatment, staff, and even the shop window. You’re reviewed every month and judged thoroughly.
“Lots of people get their status taken so we’re lucky to get it again. It’s getting harder and harder, especially in this economic climate, to keep doing new and better things.
“We’ve had it since 2000 but it actually means more to us each year as it is getting harder to get.”
With 22 staff members, the salon offers a variety of health and beauty treatments, ranging from depilation or skincare treatments to holistic therapies and day packages.
The decorated salon is also one of only 82 Clarins Gold Salons in the UK, a status it has held since 2001.
